Content management tools
What are content management tools?
Content management tools are tools built into your website which allow you to update the content yourself, instead of sending update requests to us. This is more cost effective and convenient, particularly if you have products or information on your website which change regularly. It means your website can always be up to date and showing the latest information.
Are they difficult to use?
No! You don't need any technical knowledge to use them, and full training is provided. All updates are carried out using a normal web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and normally involve filling in forms with your latest information. You will be given a secure log-in area which only authorised people can use. This will contain links to the options available to you.
What sort of things can be updated?
Some examples are lists of products for sale, dates of availability, and latest news. But all content management tools can be tailored to the exact needs of your business, so please ask if you have something else in mind.
How often can content be updated?
It is entirely up to you - once the tools are in place there are no restrictions on your use of them. You may issue a news story daily, or only monthly. You might have a set range of products which only change once a year. Or you might have time-sensitive lists which you can update as and when required.
